Infinix is all set to add a new smartphone to its Smart series in the Indian market which is the Infinix Smart 5. The new phone was first globally launched way back in August 2020. But recently, the company has announced that they are bringing the phone to the Indian market. The new phone is the successor to Infinix Smart 4 which had launched way back in November 2020 in India. The new phone has a dual rear camera setup and has a notched selfie camera at the front. It seems that the Indian version of the phone will be slightly different from the global version.
Infinix Smart 5 Price
The company hasn’t made any official statements regarding the price of the phone in India. But as per the global variant, the phone was priced at NGN 39,500 (₹7,800 approx.) in Nigeria for the 2GB + 32GB storage variant which is a 3G variant.
The company via a press release, officially declared that the new phone will be launched in India on February 11 at 12PM (noon). The phone is also presented on Flipkart with a dedicated webpage to it.
Infinix Smart 5 Specs
Not much has been specified by the company about the specs of the Indian variant of the phone. The only things we know that the new phone will have a 6.82-inch HD+ display. For the rear camera, the phone will have a dual-camera setup and for the front selfie camera, the camera will have a notch design on the top of the display. The phone will also feature a 6,000mAh battery.
As per the global variant, we know that the phone runs on Android 10 (Go edition) with Infinix’s very own XOS 6 right-out-of-the-box. The global variant has a 6.6-inch IPS display with a pixel resolution of 720×1,600. The phone is powered by an unspecified 1.8Ghz Quad-core processor. The global variant is available in two storage and RAM variants- a 2GB + 32GB variant and a 3GB + 64GB variant. The phone also comes with 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. The global variant is powered by a 5,000mAh battery.
As for the rear camera, the global variant has a triple rear camera setup which comprises of a 13-megapixel primary sensor along with QVGA sensors and as for the front selfie camera, the global variant has an 8-megapixel notch design camera on the top of the display.
For connectivity, the global variant has 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a Micro-USB port for charging.
