As per latest updates, the rumoured Oppo Reno 5 series seems to be back in the news again. As mentioned earlier in a previous article, the Oppo Reno 5 series supposedly included three phones- Oppo Reno 5, Oppo Reno 5 Pro, and Oppo Reno 5 Pro Plus which the company hadn’t confirmed. But now we have more detailed info about the phones. Also, based on previous leaks we had said the Oppo Reno 5 series was going to launch on December 10. Well, some of the info previously provided by us is still unchanged. So, let us see what has changed and what could be confirmed as per the latest updates.
Based on latest updates, the Oppo Reno 5 series is still scheduled to launch on December 10 but only for China. There is still no news about its global launch. Previously, we had mentioned about there being three phones but now as per a post on a Chinese Telecom website, there will be two phones under this new series- Oppo Reno 5 5G with the model no.- PEGM00 and Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G with the model no.- PDS00. As per the website, the phones will run on Android 11. Both the phones are confirmed to have three colour schemes- Starry Night, Moonlight Black and Aurora Blue.
Oppo Reno 5G series expected price
Based on the new update, both the phones will have two variations each. The Oppo Reno 5 5G will come in an 8GB+128GB and a 12GB+256GB variation. The previous one will be priced at CNY 3,299(₹37,243 approx) and the later one will be priced at CNY 3,699(₹41,767 approx).

The same goes for the Oppo Reno Pro 5G which will have the same variations- an 8GB+128Gb and a 12GB+256GB. The first one will be priced at CNY 3,899(₹44,012 approx) and the second one will be priced at CNY 4,299(₹48,539 approx).

Based on a report by a Chinese website, the Oppo Reno 5 5G series is said to come with a luminious material on the back. The material is said to glow in the dark.
As per the new updates, the Oppo Reno 5 series: New leaks is confirmed to come with a 6.43-inch full-HD+ (2,400×1,080 pixels) display. The phone will have a battery backup of 4,300mAH. It will have a USB Type-C port. The phone will come with ambient light sensor, gravity sensor, altitude sensor, and proximity sensor. The dimensions are 159.1×73.4×7.9mm and the weight is 180 grams.
The Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G will come with a 6.5-inch full-HD+ (2,400×1,080 pixels) display. The phone will also have a battery backup of 4,300mAH. It will have the same sensors as Oppo Reno 5 5G. The dimensions are 159.7×73.2×7.6mm and the weight is 175 grams.
