Samsung is all set to launch its’ new Samsung Galaxy A22 smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy A22 4G was recently spotted to be listed on the famous benchmarking website, Geekbench with the model number SM-A225F. Apart from the Geekbench website, the phone was also found to be listed on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) in April confirming that the phone will be launched in India soon.

Apart from the 4G variant, the 5G variant was also spotted to be listed on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) website, confirming a 5G variant of the phone.

The phone has recently surfaced on other certification websites such as Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), Wi-Fi Alliance, and TUV Rheinland. Along with this, the 5G variant was also found to listed on the Bluetooth SIG website with five different model numbers. This confirms that the 5G variant will have five different variants. The model numbers are SM-A226B-DS, SM-A226B-DSN, SM-A226B, SM-A226BR-DSN, and SM-A226BR-N.

Samsung Galaxy A22 Expected Price

Till now, Samsung hasn’t made any official announcement regarding the phone. So, based on rumours and leaks, the base model of the 5G variant is expected to be marked KRW 2,00,000 (₹13,300 approx.) for the South Korean market and is expected to be launched in the second half of 2021.

Based on some leaked images, the phone is expected to come in four colour variant- Black, Green, White colours, and Purple.

Samsung Galaxy A22 Expected Specs

As per the above-mentioned listing along with some leaks, the base 4G variant will feature a 6.6-inch HD+ AMOLED display having a 60Hz refresh rate The phone will run on Android 11 right out of the box and will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 (MT6769V/CT) SoC processor along with 6GB of RAM.

As for the 5G variant, not much is known yet. Based on a leak, the 5G variants will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC processor.

Both the 4G and 5G variants will have 5,000mAh of battery capacity and will support 15W of fast charging and as for connectivity, both the phones are believed to feature dual-SIM support, dual-band WiFi, and Bluetooth v5.0.
