Vivo seems to be gearing up to launch not only the Vivo S9 but also the Vivo S9e. Previously, we had dedicated an article to the rumoured Vivo S9. As per rumours, we had mentioned that the Vivo S9 would launch by March of this year and now the company has officially confirmed the launch date of the Vivo S9 to be March 6. Based on a new update, the company is working on another new phone which is the Vivo S9e. Judging by the name it can be easily said, that the Vivo S9e will belong to the same S9 series. The launch date of the new Vivo S9e is still unknown. But based on a leak by a tipster on the Chinese website Weibo, the phone will be available in two storage variants.

Based on the tip, the phone will come in two storage variants. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is tipped to be marked at CNY 2,298 (₹25,700 approx.) and the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is tipped to be marked at CNY 2,598 (₹29,000 approx.).

Vivo S9e expected specs
As per the very same tip, the phone will come with a 6.44-inch AMOLED display that will have a refresh rate of 90Hz. The phone will also feature a water-drop style notch. The phone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 820 SoC processor which will be backed up by 8GB of RAM. The phone will also feature a 4,100mAh battery which will support 33W fast charging.
As for the camera, the phone will feature a triple rear camera setup which will comprise of a 64MP primary camera sensor. The details about the other two sensors are still unknown. As for the selfies, the phone will feature a 32MP Samsung GD1 sensor.
Based on rumours, it is possible that the Vivo S9e may even launch along side the Vivo S9 on March 6.
